Imagine sinking your fingers into cool, pillowy clay – that first squish silencing mental chatter. No expertise needed, just curiosity.
Our kit isn’t a product; it’s a portable sanctuary. Inside: dream-soft white clay, featherlight tools, and paints that kiss life into your creations.
✦ The "Aha!" Playbook: Follow our visual guide – twist a vase from a thumbprint, conjure a woodland creature from a lump. Victory tastes like cocoa-dusted cookies.
✦ Mistakes? Magic in Disguise: Cracked a bowl? Paint gold veins like kintsugi art. Wobbly mug? Call it "charmingly rustic". Here, imperfections become heirlooms.
✦ Paint Your Serenity: Swirl acrylics onto dried clay – watching pigment bloom across your sculpture is meditation in motion.

All the little tools inside this box are top notch. It's got everything you could need- from shaping tools, to sponges, to finishing lacquer. All of a decent quality, too.I liked the little booklet of instructions included. Its got very readable text and large pictures which explain how to use everything.Which is a bit baffling since the odd link in this box is the clay itself. When the clay bags are opened, you'll notice that the clay has an interesting texture. Because the bags are re-sealable plastic, the clay is kept moist, but the surface is highly porous and soft.Far too soft. And it has a tendency to stick to surfaces. In fact, If I didn't see the label on the box I would have thought this was regular earthen clay. The clay stays wet for long time, allowing you to shape to your hearts content with the application of a little water and gentle prodding. But it lacks the elastic structure of most conventional air dry clays.I used my clay to make a sculpture on a foundation of aluminum foil and wire. And if I hadn't used this type of scaffolding I am confident my sculpture would have collapsed into a pile of mush!Half-way to done, I decided to pop my sculpture into the oven at a low temperature (200 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 20 minutes to let it set up and get firmer so I could continue more quickly. Now this works really well for other air dry clays I've tried. But for this clay? BIG mistake! This clay has a lot of shrinkage, so the clay dried and cracked really easily.I got a lot of hairline fractures and some deeper cracks. When the sculpture cooled, I had to reconnect the broken parts with a slurry I made out of wet clay that I had partially dissolved with water.I got it glued back together, but it wasn't a great experience. The clay leaves a caste on your hands and tools that can be cleaned up with soap and water.Ideally, use a silicone craft mat to protect your tables and art surfaces from extra smudges and mess.If you have some older kids who just want to get into clay crafting without too much craziness, this set is just ok. But I think it will frustrate some older crafters who want consistency from their tools. In truth, this set is more like a 3.5 star. But I can't display that up top, so I'll write it here.
